Summary:

What is the difference in marketing strategies between B2B marketing and B2C marketing? B2C marketing relates to business/companies directly engaging with consumers to make a sale, which is far different than our previous edition of B2B marketing. How so? B2C marketers are highly reliant on content creation to further the message of their advertisements, (therefore, they dedicate an average of 26% of their total marketing budget towards content creation).

On the other hand, B2C marketers believe in visual content as their most important method of communication.

What are the most commonly used channels they distribute content to? The most commonly used content mediums for B2C marketers are social media (96%), pre-produced videos (76%) and illustrations/photos (67%). These channels are the main reason for the 69% increase in audio/visual content usage for B2C marketing efforts.

Furthermore, the level of engagement among consumers needs to continuously increase in order for your internal teams to continue producing similar content (Or there may be the thought/opportunity to outsource your content creation to an agency or company that has specialized in this department). Either way, about 49% of B2C marketers choose to outsource their content creation, which provides them with many opportunities to create and release content to reach and engage with target consumers.

On the other hand, we must consider the use of personas in marketing research. Why?

Personas are extremely vital to understanding your target consumer. Personas can be used to determine who you need to target on your different social channels, or even on your website! With that being said, In the world of B2C marketing, 51% of marketers use personas for their research. By creating different personas for your target audience, it will guide you to proper execution of your team's marketing efforts. For example if you are targeting 18-25 year olds, you will most likely want to infiltrate their social media habits and start there. This will propel your company to have a stronger brand recognition and loyalty among current or potential customers. Research shows that 81% of B2C content marketers are concerned with creating content that will engage with their current consumers. In contrast to doing anything you can to reach a new audience! Instill trust and dependence within your current clients and your business will thank you!

Now you know the importance of B2C marketing!
