Summary:

It’s been an amazing 12 months! I still remember sitting in the crowd of 5,000+ attendees at the 2018 Social Media Marketing World’s final session, when Pat Flynn took the stage. I was inspired by the online communities he created and the impact they had - both on people and industries. And I couldn’t stop myself from thinking how helpful that kind of community could be for bankers!

For years, banks have been playing “catch up” when it comes to online marketing. Many bankers are told to “just post something” and expected to figure out strategies on their own. There wasn’t an online community for bakers to be informed about industry trends and stay up-to-date with today’s most effective strategies and tools - especially ones that meet high standards and regulatory requirements for financial institutions!

And so, after that event, we started building The LinkedBanker. When we launched in 2020, little did I know just how important our online community would become. In an instant, the world went virtual. Bankers everywhere were scrambling to find the best ways to reach their customers and keep them informed. But our LinkedBanker members? They weren’t scrambling. They weren’t figuring it out on their own. Each month we met, discussed, collaborated, and celebrated online marketing strategies.

We also developed a learning platform for our recorded masterclasses. We introduced our private “social network” so LinkedBanker members could ask questions and share resources. And we created a chatroom for support and laughs.

Our initial 18 “Founding Members” quickly spread the word and shared the program with their team and colleagues - and we’ve continued to grow since. So much so that we brought in a fantastic community manager, Madison, to hop in with resources and facilitate networking connections. And I couldn’t be more proud of our M&M (monthly mastermind), especially our breakout sessions where LinkedBanker members set goals and support each other in reaching them.

And that’s just the beginning!

We’re already in the process of creating bonus training, revamping our live video schedule, and bringing in even more special guest speakers and industry experts to the fold!

Community matters - in both our personal and professional lives. And The LinkedBanker community is truly one of a kind. If you’re interested in becoming a member and joining our monthly masterminds (including the recordings of our previous ones!), having a resource that keeps you “in the know” about popular and effective(!) trends, and building your network of like-minded bankers, then head over to The LinkedBanker’s Join Page to get started!
